After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Curtis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1994. Since graduating from law school 30 years ago, Curtis’ career path has been unusual to say the least. It is the breadth of his experience – as an attorney, executive, author, producer and speaker – that sets Curtis apart. Today, as a founding partner Stalcup, Brewer, Wallace and Lang, PLLC, Curtis puts that diversity of experience and expertise to work for his clients. As an attorney, his efforts are focused on assisting clients who desire to impact the world with their talents.

Mr. Wallace represents select individuals and organizations that seek to impact the world; including non-profit organizations (with an emphasis on church and ministry organizations), publishers, authors, filmmakers and entrepreneurs. Recent representations include:

• Currently acting as out-sourced General Counsel and advisor for a number of businesses and non-profit organizations, including publishers, churches, ministries, and media companies.
• Currently acting as out-sourced General Counsel for a hybrid publisher (now the 2^nd Fastest growing publisher in America) from its formation, through the development of its unique publishing model and into its current growth stage.
• Representing multiple authors, including two #1 New York Times Best Selling Authors, in the placement and negotiation of publishing agreements;
• Advising a start-up studio focused on the creation and marketing of online courses;
• Advising on the change of control of a Christian cable television network and on related strategic matters including the launch of a streaming service;
• Representing multiple social media influencers who are part of the Salem Influencers Network;
• Counsel to the producer of the top-rated Christian syndicated radio programming in the US;
• Representing a #1 New York Times Best Selling Author in the formation of a start-up publishing company;
• Acting as General Counsel to a start-up launching a unique Business Bible and related content;

• Advising a national tax-exempt organization in a restructuring involving an effective acquisition by and investment from a larger tax-exempt organization;
• Advising a tax-exempt organization in connection with real estate financing;
• Advising a family controlled tax-exempt organization with succession planning and transition matters;
• Advising a tax-exempt organization in negotiating a collaboration agreement with a major University;

Entertainment and Media Experience

• Co-Founder and General Counsel of Contagious Studios, Inc., a creative incubator that connects leading voices, creators and influencers with the contacts, relationships, advice and production opportunities necessary to amplify their impact.
• Managed the development, production, touring and merchandising for three nationally touring musical stage productions, including:
  • Woman Thou Art Loosed (1999 – 2000)
  • Behind Closed Doors (2000 -2001)
  • Cover Girls (2004)
• Developed and managed a joint venture with EMI Christian Music to produce Gospel music under the Dexterity Sounds label resulting in the sale of over 1 million units.
• Served as Executive in Charge (on behalf of TDJE) for the negotiations related to and the development of the Maximize the Moment video series in association with Time Life Video.
• Conceived and supervised the development and touring of the God’s Leading Ladies National Conference Tour in partnership with Thomas Nelson Publishers
• Managed relationships with multiple publishers (including Penguin Putnam, Atria/Simon & Schuster, Thomas Nelson, Faith Words/Hachette, Destiny Image, Bethany/Baker) for a New York Times Best Selling Author.
• The development of a nationally syndicated radio program in conjunction with Radio One Syndication and Reach Media.
• Served as the Producer, Executive Producer or Executive in Charge (on behalf of TDJE/New Dimensions Entertainment) of the following feature film and television projects:
• Woman Thou Art Loosed (starring Kimberly Elise) was released in 2004 by Magnolia Films and was the winner of Best American Film at the 2004 Santa Barbara International Film Festival
  • Not Easily Broken (starring Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson) was released in 2009 by Sony/Tristar
  • Jumping the Broom (starring Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Laz Alonzo and Mike Epps) was released on May 6, 2011 release by Sony/Tristar as the #1 comedy in its first weekend
  • One Love, an 8-episode television series created in association with Codeblack Entertainment
